Not Just Weight Loss, But a New, Healthy You!

Dr. Knighton’s weight-loss treatment addresses the issues that individuals don’t have complete control over, such as decreased metabolism, low thyroid production and genetic predisposition. Diet and exercise are just not enough to lose weight in the face of these issues. With judicious use of supplements and carefully prescribed drugs under Dr. Knighton’s care, our patients experience much greater success in losing weight and changing their bodies and lives.

Studies show that being overweight leads to an increased risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, gallbladder disease, cancer, osteoarthritis, hyperlipidemia and depression.

Dr. Knighton encourages patients to set clear goals and to get all the help they can from: Good diet, exercise, and adequate sleep…But also realizes that these only go so far with our busy lifestyles and being stuck sitting behind a desk most of the day. So instead of being frustrated from battling those extra pounds and inches, Dr. Knighton uses all the help of modern science and prescription supplementation to both accelerate and alter the body’s metabolism and chemistry. THIS powerful combination of office visits, herbal supplements, prescription medication, and lifestyle changes COMBINED (and all customized specifically to your needs and condition) have amazing results; helping you attain your health and weight loss goals.

Some of the herbal supplements and medications used in our practice and possibly in your treatment, include:

These medications “jump start” the metabolism as well as acting as a general appetite suppressant. They are “timed release” which allow them to stay in the body from 7-8 hours depending on the individual, and are administered 2 hours after breakfast or one hour before breakfast daily.

[Caffeine and other stimulants (such as energy drinks) are NOT helpful. They stay in your body only a short time and as such, have little long-term effects on your metabolism. They can also cause dangerous heart rates, increase your blood pressure and cause mood swings and aggressiveness. As well as contribute to stress which has been proven to be a major cause of weight retention.]

5-HTP

This is a natural supplement that is used to better balance the body’s serotonin levels. Our bodies convert 5-HTP into Serotonin, and it is the enzyme that keeps us from craving various foods, mainly salts and sweets as well as allowing us to feel satisfied with smaller portions. 5-HTP is recommended for most of our patients to help cover cravings and in-between meal snacking.
Side effects may include nausea if meals are skipped.

NOTE: In most cases I start each patient on phentermine in the morning and 5-HTP to be taken before dinner. I use this as a starting point and may add additional medication as we go throughout the program. I certainly recommend the use of the supplements described below.

VITAMIN B-12/B-6 Injections
We offer B-12 and B-6 combination injections at $19 per injection that I recommend patients receive in addition to other medications. We effectively utilize a combination B-12 and B-6 injectable solution to increase energy, enhance weight loss and burn carbohydrates more efficiently. I recommend weekly injections for the first month and then every other week thereafter. Injectable B-12 and B-6 has shown to be the cheapest and best way to supplement these essential vitamins.

EXPERIENCE for DIGESTIVE REGULARITY and MULTIVITAMINS
EXPERIENCE is a revolutionary product. Most people that battle weight also battle constipation. This indicates that the metabolism is so slow that the body WILL NOT eliminate properly. If you have any difficulties with regularity, this product will be a must in the program and will help maintain your weight when you have completed the program. There is no question that we need multivitamins, but we need these supplements to be easily absorbed, natural and effective. This is why I also recommend liquid DAILY COMPLETE.

If you want to reach your goals and be able to maintain them, then these multivitamins are crucial to your success.

You should also know that some of these same supplements are cheaper through Dr. Knighton and a prescription than if you went to your local health foods store and bought them over the counter! So lose weight the fast, safe way! Under the guidance of a certified doctor (specialist) who knows you and your medical history, and then tracks your condition and progress.
